Introduction

The story follows a strict line of friendships and relationships between four girls with Corey AKA Slick. There has been pain hurt and discovery with all the girls as they go through good times, rough times and even sad times.

Chapter One: Ra-Ra

See Corey and I really didn’t have a long term relationship status with each other because of his constant resort to go and talk about his former girl and best friend Kris. She was his world and meant everything to him. I understand that because they grew up with me. She is one of my close friends as well. Today I’m over here at Corey’s house chilling like usual.

“Baby, I didn’t know you were here.” He said. He had just come home from the studio recording with his brothers. “I was here when you left for the studio this morning and I never left the house either.” I said. We shared a laugh because he left around five this morning and I was able to go through the day without dealing with anyone besides Kris coming over to see what I was doing. We talked and had some food. Then I left because he needed to get some sleep tonight.Slick’s POVRa-Ra just left the house and I’m not in anyway sleepy but there are so many reasons why she left. She probably figured I was going to bring up something about Kris again. Most of the time I would but Kris and I have been apart for about a year now. I still haven’t gotten over that. A relationship isn’t what I need right now. I need to just try and let go which will never happen. I loved Kris and it’s really hard for me to do that right now. A year should’ve been long enough for me to move on with my life. Kris practically lives with my mom.

Kris is staying with her at the moment because she always used to stay with me. I’m with Ra-Ra right now and Ra-Ra is good friends with both of us. We are all still in school. I have one more year before I graduate. This was the first time Kris and I ever broke up. Marcus is still talking with Rozzy right now I knew they are about to hook up, Spec is talking to Bahja and Blue is really talking with Alicia. Alicia and Bahja just met all of us right around the time Kris and I broke up. We broke up over something really insignificant to our relationship.

End of Slick’s POV

The next day Corey didn’t need to go to the studio with his brothers so I went back to his house to see what he needed. I got there in record timing too. I saw another vehicle in the driveway. I figured his mom was visiting him. That also meant that Kris was here too. I went up to the door and Kris opened it before I could knock.

“Hey girl,” she said. She was leaving with his mom from what I could tell but then I looked behind me and saw that she was getting a bag from the car. She was staying here with Corey like old times. Right then, I knew something was going on and I needed to find out what it was.

“Corey,” I yelled. I walked into the kitchen where I found him and his mom talking.

“Hey Rachel,” His mom said. She always greeted me with hug and a kiss on the cheek.

“Is Kris staying here?” I looked at both of them.

“No she is going to be staying at my dad’s house.” Corey said. I was surprised now because she was getting her bags out the car like she was staying here with us.

“I was just wondering.” I was confused now but then after thinking about it I realized that his dad lived across the street. His brothers shared this house with him. They were staying across street though because I was staying here. His mom left the house and I went upstairs to the bedroom to lie down for a while too much was happening. I was going to break up with Corey or at least we were going to take a break because he was too caught up with Kris at the moment and I wasn’t really getting a lot of attention.

Chapter Two: Libby

This is where I am confused why would Corey try and date me when he hasn’t gotten over Kris. Kris was his first love but he is trying to get over her by dating, which started with their best friend Ra-Ra which lasted all of six months. I’ve always been friends with them too. So has my girl Angel, I was the one that introduced Kris Corey and Ra-Ra to Angel. Kris went through hell recently though but I’ll get into that later on.

I got with Corey within like six or seven months after he broke up with Ra-Ra. I didn’t mean to get with him so soon but things happened so quickly between us. He would come to me with problems and we started talking about two months before we got together. I had no clue as to what I was really getting myself into when I got with him. Two months after I got with him, I realized what I was got myself into when we got together, and I was falling in love with him but he wasn’t really in love with me. He would say it but yes I figured out that he was still in love with Kris though.

It took me about five months to finally get the courage to comfort him about it.

“Corey, we need to talk.” I said. He sat down at the table across from me.

“What do we need to talk about?” He said. I looked into his eyes to see if he knew but he didn’t.

“Do you love me?” I looked at him for an answer.

“You know I do.” He smiled and held my hands.

“Do you love me more than you love Kris?” That caught him off guard. He let go of my hands and put his head down.

“You know how long we were together and everything that led to us breaking up but I still haven’t let her go.” He put his head down then looked up at me and gave me a small smile.

“Well I think you need time to try and get over her so I’m going to break up with you but we can still be friends.” He gave me a big smile and then got up to give me a hug. I loved his hugs and after we let go. I went and packed my stuff with his help.
I said something earlier about Kris and what happened right before he got with me, she got raped by Trevon and Marcel. She was tutoring Tre and basically she didn’t know Marcel was over at the house. They were taking a break from studying and Tre started pushing up on her. He got Marcel and they forced her to have sex with them. She was a virgin and Corey respected the fact that she was holding it. He took their side over her side. They didn’t talk for over two months. He was upset and depressed about that. He found out from Diamond what actually happened and he also found out that Tre and Marcel went to juvenile hall.
I found out about all of that from Spec and Diamond like a week after the rape happened. Diamond had told Corey about it two days after Kris went into the hospital. I never told anyone else about it because they trust me with information.

Chapter Three: Angel

Wow! I would have never thought I would get with Corey because he is so in love with Kris. He has dated Ra-Ra and my girl Libby too. It’s hard to believe he is dating everyone besides the love of his life Kris. He hasn’t gotten over her but still attempts to have other relationships. Corey was so in love with Kris. Libby told me they were dating since the seventh grade well more like Corey was in the eighth and she was in the seventh. They took things slow at first but now they are just friends and they still talk.
Kris and Ra-Ra attend University of Florida in Gainesville together. They got scholarships to both University of Florida and University of Miami but something bothers me because I’m thinking Kris is hiding something from Corey. I never asked Ra-Ra about it though. Well I’m still happy I’m with Corey right now but I have a feeling that this feeling isn’t going to last. Right now he is on the phone with Kris. They are coming down to visit for the weekend. He is just smiling away at what they are talking but then he talks to Ra-Ra for a while. He gets off the phone after forty-five minutes.

“What are we doing tonight?” I asked.

“Well we can get things together for this weekend.” He suggested. We had a lot of cleaning up to do with the guest rooms because most likely Corey was going to have them stay at the house with us. I heard Corey’s phone ring and he answered it. I saw his expression change from happiness to anger. He got off the phone and called Kris back. He was mad at her for some reason.

“What’s going on?” He looked at me with a pissed look on his face.

“Marcus called me telling me that I had a daughter and to come and get her. He also told me that Diamond knew about this too.” I looked at him shocked because I didn’t know about her yet. I bet that Libby knew about this though. I called her to see if she knew about it. She told me that she knew but didn’t know that Taniyah (Corey and Kris’s daughter) was about to turn three until Ra-Ra told her two days ago. Corey was already gone before I could say anything to him about how old his daughter was. Kris had been raising Taniyah by herself. Marcus had just found out last weekend when he was visiting Kris and Ra-Ra and he decided to take her for the week.Corey walked into the house holding Taniyah who was asleep on his shoulder. She looked just like Corey. He took her up to our room to sleep. He came back calm and collected about the whole situation. This whole situation was going to blow up before Kris and Ra-Ra got here on Thursday night.
